Tips for Improving Body Image and Stats
Find a picture of yourself from the past...several if you have them of when you were the weight you could again feel OK with.  It doesn't matter if you were really young....pin them up somewhere where you will see them often or put them in a journal you use daily for when you need a reminder of what your goal weight or almost your goal weight looks like on you.  If you can't find a picture that suits you find one in a magazine of a woman/man with your same body type that you can put your face on.

First rule. When you look in the mirror......REFRAIN from putting yourself down, calling yourself fat names, telling yourself you really dislike what you see.  Instead stand there for a few minutes and forget all the name calling and disgust you may feel for yourself.  And do a little magic trick of noticing how (even if only for a split second the first time) you do look a little bit thinner than the last time you looked.  Keep doing this little trick just like watering a seed until you do actually notice some difference. Once you begin to notice some difference.....keep strict about the body bashing.  Even if there's no change (for the better) for weeks/months --feel gratitude that there is no change for the worse.  As you are able, add to this by closing your eyes and imagining the body you are moving into.  This is a whole new body..... so it isn't exactly correct to say change. Because this is a body without contempt for itself, just an inner knowing of gradual and purposeful positive body-image creation. Be extremely patient.....the fat suit does not usually go away overnight.  It may seem as if you got it overnight,and you have pictures to prove it.  The fat you was gradually built and this new body will also be gradually built and it must start with a powerful image of the body you desire.  Whatever comes up as sub-personality/mind/them chatter can be tapped at the time it comes up.  When its working for you, even if you haven't lost an ounce, other people will mention it....ironic. With each improvement in your ability to accept the new body image be steadfast and and even if your relenquish your power to habit patterns of being disgusted by your body, acknowledge that pattern and correct. As you are ready, your new body will appear to you, like a beautifully faceted jewel being polished by jeweler.  Keep your picture around to help you visualize and to give yourself positive reinforcement.

USE COMMON SENSE: Most people really do well dropping carbs and adding more fresh fruits and vegetables.  This has worked for me and it really makes sense. Our high carb diets are based on a time in our culture when we were, by virture of lifestyle and times, more active. We needed more carbs. We may have been walking five miles or more per day, doing more physical labor. And we definitely ate fewer processed foods. Overweight people were in the minority. Now, in our ultra stress-filled lifestyle and with our addiction to and reliance on processed foods, a little or a lot of fat is the norm. I slowly dropped the amount and the kind of carbs I was eating, starting with my least favorite to my most favorite foods containing carbs. Weaning myself in this manner reduced the feeling that I was depriving myself of "TREATS" and gave perspective on how much I was eating and how much better I felt when I was not eating them. Its probably true that people who are biking, hiking, running, swimming, doing physical labor all day can eat all the carbs they want, but for the rest of us who are typing, riding in cars, talking, texting, parking as close to the door as we can get, and driving through, it might be worth considering to "lighten up" on the carbs.

In addition to EFT, good nutrition; eating non-processed, locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables and grains, organically grown, that means without pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers or genetic modification, meat organically raised without antibiotics, and hormones or genetic modification, exercise/meaningful activity, fresh air, clean water from a well or spring, sunlight, good hygiene, herbs from God’s garden, a positive mental attitude, TOUCH and LOVE and some kind of spiritual practice/relationship with the Creator. All of these will help you to stay healthy and to heal.
True, it takes a little effort. In your grandmother’s or great-grandmother’s day, a mere 80 years ago, this was all that was available. In that short time, we have become a people who have fallen asleep in front of TV programming and its call to addictive consumption. We now accept as normal the consumption of all manner of poisons. I know that TV is not all bad. But we have gone to sleep. We are on auto-pilot.  However, we can balance; return to a more wholesome way, a way of conscious living.

You can use EFT for cravings:
     

    on the spot whenever you experience a food craving, cigarette craving...or other substance or even behaviour.
   
     to eliminate a craving in advance.  While tapping you may say something like, "Even though I'm afraid I'll lose control when Aunt Laura serves her apple pie next Thursday.", and in this way troubleshoot in advance your visit to her. When you arrive at her home you will be entirely in control of your eating behavior and able to make the decisions that are in your best interest.  If you do not feel in control tap on the spot for an extra boost.  Do a little internal investigation and see if you can discover what is triggering your desire to over-indulge.
   
     for chronic cravings, such as, "I really miss those doughnuts at morning coffee break." it works extraordinarily well for this purpose.
